Reminders:
History - Did you forget your textbook or ISN (Interactive Student Notebook) at school? Have no fear! Just go to www.teachtci.com or click TCI under my links on the righthand side.
NJHS- The next NJHS meeting will be held on Wednesday, January ___  in Mrs. Muldermans's room. Bring a bag lunch and a writing utensil.
Christmas Break - Begins after school on Friday, December 20th. School resumes Monday, January 6th.
5 Week Progress Report - Parents will be contacted before the break (via email or phone) if a student is receiving a D+ or lower.   

ELA
Warm Up- Daily Goal/Caught ya #15  
Lesson-
-Provide 15 minutes to cont. updating "Conflicts" WS, "Literary Elements" WS and  "Novel Outline" WS (all due on 12/15)
-Finish chp 8   
Homework - Make sure your "Conflict" WS, "Lit Elements" WS and "Novel Outline" are all caught up
Daily Goal(s): Students will continue to understand the difference between conflict and problem in a story by providing examples. Difference too between external and internal conflict.
Long Term Goal(s): Understanding and analyzing the Literary Elements to a narrative story and the connection they make to the theme and moral. 

 History
Warm Up-  Discussion questions altogether of "Giving Thanks"  
Lesson- 
-cont. our in-class activity of the Constitutional Convention  
Homework -No HW
Daily Goal(s): Students will understand how the first Continental Congress begins to deal with the issues our nation faced under the Articles of Confederation. 
Long Term Goal(s): Students will understand how the Articles of Confederation did not work and why giving too much power to the states and not the National Government was the wrong idea. 

Debate
Warm Up - SSR 
Lesson 
-Complete Team 4's mini debate - when finished, turn in your "Mini Debate #2" Step 1" WS and your "Mini Debate: Step 2" WS 
Homework - NO HW 
Daily Goal(s): Students will learn how to debate using  facts to support their opinions when debating. 
Long Term Goal(s): Utilizing facts in a debate to back-up your opinion
