NJHS- The next NJHS meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 4th  in Mrs. Muldermans's room. Bring a bag lunch and a writing utensil.
Christmas Break - Begins after school on Friday, December 20th. School resumes Monday, January 6th.  

ELA
Warm Up- Goal/Journal  
Lesson-
-Discussion questions on chapters 3-5
-Review Robert Frost Poem in novel altogether
-Begin chapter 6   
Homework - No HW
Daily Goal(s): Students will understand alliteration through the example of Robert Frost's poem "Nothing Gold will Stay" from the novel The Outsiders. 
Long Term Goal(s): Understanding and analyzing the Literary Elements to a narrative story and the connection they make to the theme and moral. 

 History
Warm Up-  Discussion questions altogether of "Giving Thanks" until break (nothing written on paper)
Lesson-
-Check and review  8.2 altogether and begin 8.2 and 8.3 in your ISN  
-Begin "Shays' Rebellion group activity of before, during, and after" 
Homework -No HW
Daily Goal(s): Students will understand how the first Continental Congress begins to deal with the issues our nation faced under the Articles of Confederation. 
Long Term Goal(s): Students will understand how the Articles of Confederation did not work and why giving too much power to the states and not the National Government was the wrong idea. 

Debate
Warm Up - SSR 
Lesson 
-Work on "Mini Debate #2: Step 2 Researching" WS/phase - complete by Tuesday and be prepared to debate. You should have 5 opinions with facts to back-up your arguments.  
Homework - No HW 
Daily Goal(s): How and why it is important to search for facts to support an opinion when debating. 
Long Term Goal(s): Utilizing facts in a debate to back-up your opinion
